This Center for Social Development working paper by Fred Ssewamala and Jami Curley seeks to answer two questions: First, "Are orphan-caretaking households different from non-orphan-caretaking households on measurable socio-economic (including income) and asset-ownership characteristics?" Second, "What is the impact of family or caregivers assets on children’s educational outcomes?"
