"The Capacity of Poor Women to Grow Their Businesses in the Dominican Republic" -Women's World Banking
This report published by Women's World Banking details a study that asks the question, "How do gender identities and consequent roles and responsibilities impact the growth and lack of growth of women’s businesses?" "The research was conducted at banks in the Dominican Republic. The findings [of the study] not only reinforce WWB’s understanding of low-income people’s need for a diverse range of financial products, including credit, savings, andinsurance; they also have implications for potential non-financial inputs such as child care and healthcare services, training on gender relations andwomen’s rights, and finally, business development services," according to the report.
